Help!! please??

ok, almost got this thing wooped...

i took another look at the dist, and where i marked it when i took it out... and i figured, well maybe the po didnt have it timed right either, so i loosened the clamp and moved it a little, adjusted the idle set screw and the mixture screws, and it idles really nice now...

still has a little bog right off idle if i try to go wtfo... and a really small pop in the exhaust - could the pop be caused by no muffler on the one side? i figured tomorrow id buy a couple cheap mufflers and cut the pipe back to the good part and clamp them on...

Is the pop consistent? And actually from the ex shortside?

If the motor is sound, it shouldn't pop from any particular cylinder... It will be popping tho overall from each cylinder.. Just listen to a motor running open headers...

Try pulling plug wires one at a time while it's running till the popping goes away... And ummm, don't shock yourself.... :wink1:
