Help removing Warn hubs (pics)

Ah, ok theres my problem. I dont have a spindle nut socket for the outer nut so I've just been spinning away at the inner nut.

Inner and outer nuts are the same. The larger thing you see in that pic is the washer between the two nuts.

It sounds like you are spinning the washer and not the nut. Take off the round nut with 4 square notches in it, first. Then use some needle nose pliers to pull out the washer. Then there is another nut exactly like the first one, it may have a pin sticking out the front of it to align the washer. Then you can pull the rotor/hub assy off.

Hi guys, I've done this before but... (need help)

The snap rings are located where I have indicated in red

I have removed the two snap rings mentioned above and the internal hub assembly won't slide out. It gets hung up right at the edge... am I forgetting another snap ring or is it just worn out and being stubborn??

I have the two on the left removed, haven't got to the washer yet:

Also one more thing... how bad is too bad for disc rotors? This truck has been sitting for over a year and the discs are pretty rusted. Do they have to be spun at the shop? Or can I just leave them and they'll clean up by driving it.. they are slightly pitted. I just want to get my diesel mobile so I can take it to another location (its in the way for a new garage right now)

Thread two of the screws back in a bit and pull. Probably a small lip there on the edge.

no go. I did that before, but this time I tried putting to more of those screws to try from a different angle and still can't pull it off

would it help to heat it up? any other ideas to get rid of that lip? I don't know if a file would work.. is it the front edge that its hanging up against?

It is most likelt the stub axle snap ring groove that has a burr on it which is keeping it from coming off. Carefully use a file around that snap ring groove and i'll bet the locking hub comes off easily.

well i tried the file thing but there wasn't a whole lot of room, so I did the best I could.

...Still couldn't get it off so I tried using my nail puller pry-bar to pull against one of those screws (very gently, so not to bend the screw) and voila.. it popped right out.

thats my .02 cents for anyone else who runs into this issue
