how hard is it to change the motor mounts in a 91' s10 blazer 4.3 l 4x4 ? and what is involved ? serious answers please . thanks for any help .

please help

ttt, being told the front diff has to come out of the truck to do this , and chilton is of no use .

I know changing mounts on a 2WD was no picnic, so I can imagine a 4x4 is a real treat.

Taking out the front diff shouldn't be a big deal, though. You might even be able to just drop it down out of the way without completely removing it.

Check eBay for a factory service manual.

try going to s10extremist.org or other s10 forums were people probably have experience in these..will probably save you some headache

Thank You

thanks to every one who answered . i know its not a fullsize blazer . but it is good to be able to ask a question about this truck . many thanks .

b1, Im still looking for the step by step instructions. The 4.3 hours is with a lift... I would not even think about doing it in the driveway... and this is from someone who has replaced a tj clutch on the trail...

i replaced the motor mounts in mine in my driveway it was not that bad, the worst part was getting a wrench to some of the bolts, its only 4 blots per mount, you remove the thru bolt and then using wood on top of the floor jack jack the engien up by the oil pan this gives you a lot of clearence to get at the mount and change it
