Today my tranny began to slip on starts but once moving it seemed ok. On my way home it progressively and quickly became worse. Last mile it stopped engaging completely and now it won't move the truck forward or reverse.

Is it dead? Thing was so stout and not sure how it went from great to dead in such a short time. I believe it is a 350 (square tranny oil pan) and it is in my restored 73 K5. Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Any ideas on where to take it in Austin Texas for a straight up Transmission shop?

Any help appreciated!

Thanks,

Donovan

Does the pan look like any of these shapes?

2nd the fluid. Check it, if it's low, add it. You should check it hot, but if it won't move, make sure its close to full on the dipstick first, running it without fluid will certainly destroy it.
