Help, transfer case dismantl (np 205)

When shifter is in this position
(See pic) how do I get it in neutral from two wheel drive? Top rail in or out, or is bottom rail in or out?

Found it!! Pull bolt that holds spring in and boom it goes easy

Might help if you get stuck on something. Mine has worked well since the rebuild.

Got hole drilled out and even painted it

ok i am this far put int the front output and the cover on the rear and for some reason i cant get it out of 4 wheel drive.
what am i doing wrong? is it suposed to be this difficult with out the ball and springs out of the case?
or am i over thing=king and trying to shift the wrong way?

Did you flip the shift fork? It is not symmetrical.

no the shift ring syncro (DON'T KNOW THE NAME) fell when i put it in and had to pull apart and fix.
and yes i know both rails have to shift together. took a part and reassembled it
(do it nice cause i do it twice) where have i heard that

no shifter = need leaverage to move them .

did you mod the rails for twin stick ? . . . I love a twin sticked 205 better for shifting.
