ok, just put in new 350 long block. tranny is a 350, not sure how to connect the tranny kickback?? connects to the carb along with the throttle cable. also there is some type of hose coming up from the tranny to the carb, have no idea where it goes or what it does. comes up on the left side, carb is a brand new edelbrock 600 cfm. the truck is a 73 k10. piece of ****

yea where does that go? i have it plugged up right now. the tranny wont go out of first gear when its in drive. i cant do over 30 mph

Yep vacuum line goes from the vacuum modulator on the tranny to the intake manifold vacuum port, most are behind the carb. I have seen a few that connect to a fitting off the rear lower part of the carb.

I have a 600 edelbrock and will see if I can snap a pic of the kickdown cable for you.

OOPs I was wrong my tranny vacuum is hooked up to driver's side front of carb. The smaller hose at base of carb.

These also show how the kickdown cable is connected below the throttle cable.

Hope it helps
