i mounted behind the seat speakers, also used a greande for a shifter, the floor picture is how i ran my wires because i modified my floors and didnt want then being stepped on. i also no longer have A/C so i cut some diamond plate to cover vents. and made a small switch panel for my horn and washer fluid.

My mounting is similiar to pennsylvaniaboy's mounting, except the bracket is actually hidden behind the front of the dash. In these pics, you can't really see the CB's mounting bracket, and the thumb screws are hard to access. Once I finish the panel I am doing for below the CB, there will be no easy way to ever remove the CB. As you can see, my mounting differs because of the hidden bracket. But, I got the idea from pennsylvaniaboy.
