Here is my baby. This engine is pushing 350HP and 432Foot pounds at the back wheels. It is a gm create engine that has a cam that is 2 sizes over stock. After I get her camed even more and turned into a 383 stroker with a blower on I am hoping to get up into the 500HP range :D.
This engine is my pride and joy.

Before I get it into my new truck later on this month I will paint it up, and finish chrome. Then get it all ready for new heads and cam.

Looks nice, but resize you pics! :D

I wish I would've went with manifolds instead of headers on my 383!

I can't say I've ever seen a firewall rust out like that

Nice motor, sounds like you have some big plans for her. Put a lot of thought into cam selection and other such stuff when it comes to the 383/Blower. I don't think you will need as big of a cam as you might think to get 500HP out of a blown 383.

why would you want stock manifolds over headers on an overpowered engine?

What he said^

My 383's cam is too big and has headers and still runs & pulls stronger than my LS1 camaro.

because its a 383!

Nice motor man... resize the pics tho...

What size tires and what tranny did you have when you got her dynoed?

did you polish the intake or buy it polished?

i polished my 396 one, never again... had 40 hrs in, and could have done 60. i'd buy it polished next time...

oh, and yeah, ditch the loom stuff, its ghey.. ;)

You can get big heat shrink for the end of the red loom stuff at Fry's electronics , Computer stores , and electronic supply places . Did it inside my computer , would work on your red stuff to get rid of the frayed ends in the engine compartment just as well :)

Hello,
Yea that red crap was stuff I bought when I first strated playing with my truck.

I am planning on getting headers on the motor. Yes they will be polished :D.
Thanks
Adam

I had the stock rear end, and T-case. But I had a Th350 right behind my 350. One the tires I am running 31
I will be adding 33 right after I get done with a few things.
Thanks
Adam

Hello,
I bought it polished. The intake is a Edelbrock Performer EPS with PermaStar finish. "PermaStar won’t oxidize, fade or turn blue and cleans easily", this intake cleans up mint. If you look at the photos you will see where antifreez burnt on. Well all that took to clean it was my finger, green pad, and a clean rag. The intake looks new.

When I pull this engine and put it in my new K5 I will ditch that dumb loom stuff.
Thanks
Adam

cool...

hmmm, didn't realize their polished stuff was refered to as that... when i did the BB back in the day you couldn't even buy one polished except from oddball companies that specialized in that..

the one i've thought about for the TBI is this one.. wonder if its that Permastar.... i figured i'd have to clear it...

Hello,
Hold the horses. The permastar is new technology that Edebrock came out with.
HERE IS A LINK

This stuff cost a little more but it is worth it.
Thanks

thanks... yeah, hadn't seen that from them...

doesn't appear that the TBI is available in it yet.. no biggie, intake is aways down the road. if at all, i may go mpfi anyway... 1 tons are the priority for now...
