hers a pic from a month ago with a new paint job
some new 35's, rims painted and 4" springs in the rear instead of blocks.

also noticed i put the newer style of molding on instead of what was offered in 1984. looks alot better. hopefully
soon i can add a pic with the bumpers done that i am working on and my 3/4ton swap. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

oh , and thanks muddytazz for helping me figure out how to load these pics up /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

no problem so far , and its been a little over a year since
the install. i have done some light wheeling , with some flex , made a few fast turns up driveways with no rubbing.
it might be becouse i still have the sway bar hooked up.
i am sure if i put it to some real test i might rub, but till i get the 3/4 ton stuff in (december) , i am taking it easy.

the rims were old and a nasty white. i sanded them down and painted them a satin black. not too flat , not too shiny. then i painted the undercarriage the satin black , which by the way doesnt stain like flat black and doesnt dinge like gloss black. and all of it goes well with the
1994 gun metal gray paint job. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

heres the other two pics i took that day.
i completely took the grille apart and re-did it for
a better look with the new paint job.

looks good man, I would be interested in seeing the bumpers. I'm trying to find some good looking bumpers that I like. I'm looking towards the pre- runner style .I think. I found a F*#d tube bumper for the rear and adapted it to fit , It looks pretty cool.Email me and let me know when you get your bumpers on.

That thing looks good man, way nicer looking than when I saw it almost a year ago. How things going man, been a while since I talked to you...

Looks great man! I always wanted a clean lookin K5 like that but it would never be able to be wheeled /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

what did that paint job cost you? It looks great. I was thinking about getting mine done soon but not sure how much it will cost me.

thanks , i have been trying to make it look a little better with not much cost involved. i am still shooting for december for the 3/4 ton axle swap but we will see.
things are good , we need to get together again , maybe for a day of wheeling or wrenching , or maybe a day of b.sing.

i have the rear almost done , just a piece of 2 x 6
1/4 tube , cut up to almost points at the ends. . the front is going to be somewhat the same except for having
some 1" tubing bent up on top for light mounts and grille protection. i will definatly post pics when done.

as far as the paint goes , its actually a cheap maaco
paint job , but i removed all the trim and lights and grille so they would do a decent job. plus they were having a half price month , so it only cost $500.00
/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif , i plan to do some wheeling once the 3/4 stuff
is on , so i didnt want a high dollar paint job. i just wanted it to look halfway decent. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
