ok guys , need some input! took my flex fan off , replaced it with the original clutch fan , took the 160 degree thermostat ot and put the 180 back in. before with the 160 and flex fan , sitting at idle for a few mins would cause the gauge to almost peg untill getting back under way with more air flow. now it runs around 200-220 depending on how hot it is outside. now for the problem.........has good power for the first thirty mins or so of driving , after running around just cruising if i get on it , it acts like it wants to shut off and has a really bad hesitation under hard acceleration. what could cause this? let it sit for about two hours and all was good untill driving it again for an extended period of time. new plugs , new wires. could the ign module be breaking down when it gets hot? how about vapor lock ? fuel filter? help , any ideas i need to try? by the way its an 83 k5 , 305,700r4 quadrajet.
