Ashley National Forest Releases Motorized Travel Plan DEIS
The Forest Service (FS) has announced the release of their Motorized Travel Plan Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Ashley National Forest, which is located in the northeastern portion of Utah and southwestern portion of Wyoming.

This comment period ends June 1, 2009.
The DEIS discloses the environmental impacts associated with five alternatives including a proposed action that outlines future management of motorized vehicle travel on the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest.
The complete DEIS, including appendixes and maps, are available for download on the Uintah County website at http://www.co.uintah.ut.us/usfs/travelplan.htm.
