Hi-Lift mainentance and questions

Lifting the body meaning your lifting on the sprung portion. Lifting from the axle is unsprung as the suspension is above your lifting point. When you lift from the bumper/frame/fender/rocker whatever, you are lifting from above the suspension which means you're fighting the springs as you work. In theory the chain wrap would offset this, but not nearly as much as not having to dick with it is.

I've had enough sketchy situations with my hi lift I ended up buying an aluminum floor jack from Hf and kept it in my truck box. The handle comes apart and I have 3 tons of lift whenever I needed it. Just kept a hunk of plywood to keep it from sinking.

so I bought the offroad kit (more so for the adapters) and it came in. I have been doing a lot of research lately on chains and what is needed. I have seen now that G70 is minimal; however, the kit chains are, from what I can tell, G43!!!!!
so I have an email into them. My thing is safety... so what if I want to try and use my hi lift as a winch... still has to be safe.. just take me a weekend to get unstuck...

still waiting for amazon to ship my hi lift extreme.. buggers...
