Guys, how do you make a Ford hi-pinion D60 work with passenger side drop transfer case? I'm asking this because I see the spring perch is cast into the pumpkin on the drivers side of the axle... how do I swap that around?
I'm thinking cut the axle tubes off, swap the short and long tubes around or fab up some new ones. I don't think that is the toughest part at all. What the main question is, how do I get around that cast-in spring perch to work on the passenger side of the pumpkin like a Chevy D60?
Has anyone done this before? Is it worth the effort?
I have a rebuilt np241 put in last spring after cracking it at Sycamore, I'm not ready to get another t-case anytime soon. I figured go the D60/14BFF route because I hate my 10bolts.
EDIT: never mind about trying to make ford 60 work with a passenger drop t-case.. Read last post at bottom..
