Just realized that the truss brace part I got at a swap meet is a HE part. It is missing the Ubolts and bar that the Ubolts go into but I figure that could be frabricated. I got it for just a few bucks.

Are these front axel truss assembly support struts any good?

Also I'm still kicking myself. I had the oppurtinityto get a HE brush guard.

Also does any one make the aux front shock kits today?

Are you positive its an HE truss? Any numbers or labels stamped on it? Willing to sell it so I can save it from rust/destruction, etc.?

Front dual shock mounts can be had by just about any lift manufacturer today. Rears, too. Hickey pretty much designed them and everyone else copied them.

I have a front truss exactly like that. Mine is supposed to be a Con-Fer which they don't make anymore. I bought it about 10-12 years ago for about $40 as I recall.

I'll try to get a pic when the wife comes home next week.

Con-Ferr is another great company like Hickey Enterprises.

Off Road Unlimited bought out CF several years ago and continue to fabricate the popular roof racks CF designed back in the day. ORU has not produced the rest of the stuff CF makes anymore. I have an old CF catalog somewhere with everything they offered to the public. They were very much like Hickey Ent.

Damn, too bad they arent around, Id be all over those aux gas tanks and 43 gal one too.

NWMP makes big gas tanks for big bucks for Blazers. I sure wish more people had bought hitches that bolted on. Of the 5 (that I can remember) first gen Blazers I've had in my yard, all of them had a bunch of crap welded to what little frame there is back there. Don't think the truss would've helped with the one D44 I've had that was bent. Then again, I had a steering Rockwell that was bent.

Why not, the axle tube simply sleed out didnt it, that truss maintains them in, in a way.

I just dont think that the dinky round stock or what ever it is would actually do anything. 1000x better off just welding the tubes into the pumpkin and probably cheaper.

i don't know what all the fuss is about.. get out of the 70's wazzabie... cool company and products for back in the day, but none of it holds a candle to stuff sold/built today..

Exactly.... Put it in a museum next to the gramophones and teletype machines. It a cool piece of history, but that's about it.

i just like the old school stuff. hurricane rims, vintage KC Hi-Lites, old school brush guard, plaid interior, classic rock

It looks just like the one in the photo. HE claims to have designed it. It is covered in grim but it may have some marking I never looked. No rust. Just needs ubolts and something for the ubolts to go into. Maybe the guy before me just cut the old bolts off.

I would be open to trades. I could use a NP 205 indicator plate.

My shop wall has sort of become a museum for Hickey stuff. Just trying to accumulate more parts to hang up.

Don't have any plates but will get busy looking for one now.

I've got a complete truss that came off of my '75 when I swapped in my D60. It's HE, and could be purchased.
