i see the thread is a little old, but i have to add mine
Here's what mine looks like. No inner frame work or anything fancy. Just a ramsey 9000 bolted to a 1/2" thick plate of steal that is then lifted up between the frame rails and the plate then bolted to the rails themselves. Its works just fine, and the remote connection is on the right (passanger) side of the grill in the blue center strip.. you can almost make it out if you look hard enough.
Awesome idea on the bracing behind it. Ive been trying to think of ways to finish off my front setup. Id just have to section 12" out of a stock bumper. Now to find a bumper.
Realized I never finished the thread/install by posting pics of the in-dash switch I ended up with.
Better late than never I guess.
Made an aluminum cover plate for the dash, it was really hacked up when I got it, so it needed to be covered up.
The two LED's above the winch switch are the Hi/Low for the elec. fan.
