High compression?

Follow up: leakdown tests good and guage @ valve cover shows zero blow-by.
Now I'm wondering if i just have rings thats aren't totally sealed? (Smokes under WOT) My afr @ WOT is 12.ish and cruise is 13.ish, so i don't see cylinder wash-down ?
Thoughts, anyone ?

Leak down test would have indicated if rings weren't seated. Am at a loss to explain, but I do think you should figure out a pcv system that works for you, get that blow by out of the crank case. Maybe a catch can system.

I've been thinking abt pcv. Do you know if the bbc pcv internal weight is the same as sbc ? I can't comprehend why a pcv would open so far, as to rob pwr brake booster from working. I really don't want the oil dripping, or to use vented caps, they're messy as hell. A drip can... I suppose, but not to keen on that either.
I'll be racking my last 2 brain cells together to solve the pcv. And as far as smoking maybe time & mileage will help. Idk.

Wes, which square body(s) do you own ? I ask because I'm trying to figure out how much toe-in my 76 k5 should have.
It was toe-out, and i brought it in to 3/16 toe-in. That helps alot with wandering about, but it still wanders. All tie rods and steering components are new, with exception of gear box.

Only 1 square 77 k20 burb. 3/16 is pretty close. I'd leave at that.
Tape measure I got mine @1/8 -+ 1/16.

It sure makes me wonder why they are so different from oem specs. I posted this way back, it's wandering around and no fun to drive. Can't find any worn parts on front end (rebuilt the front end last year or so)

Exactly how do you have your pcv system routed?
I removed it. I plan to put it back on soon. Sniper efi created interference issue with vacuum port, detent cable bracket, then when got it set up (ordered special parts) The PCV valve was removing too much vacuum and the brake booster would not function.
