i've searched and found that most people here go with the mini starter that summit sells, but which one do most of you guys go with? the summit protorque starter or the summit mini high-torque starter?

this is going on my GM performance crate 350

Just rebuilt my big-block.Stroked it to 454,higher compression,Lunati cam,RPM Airgap,MSD,etc.Love it!But my old starter immediately sucked trying to turn the new motor over.Went with the Summit Protorque starter and it's great.Clocked it straight down, which is a great thing to be able to do.It's much lighter, smaller and pretty much just kicks ***.Have never needed any type of starter other than stock till now and now I see why they cost so much.I did have to grind about 3/8" of material of the mounting pad for oil pan clearance though.I recommend it for sure.-Allen

that's the one that i ordered, don't really need anything strong but i figure i'd rather put in a new starter with my new motor, than having the oldstarter on the new motor then it crapping out on me... that'd be fun to change with my long tube headers
