Higher capacity 454 oil pan

Yeah I'm okay with hi volume but would like to skip hi pressure.

It's a shame you didn't post this a month ago. I just gave away a Moroso deep pan that my uncle left w/ me when he moved to FL years ago. It was one of the gold anodized ones used for marine big blocks.

What ever you end up doing, you don't have a hair on your sac if you don't leave the oil pump rod out and try to beat my record.

I'm okay with hairless sac.....

For the SBC I bought one of summits pans, they seem to be decent. Not particularly finely finished, but since I was going to have to weld on it anyway, figured it was better than spending well over twice as much for a likely better pan that I might destroy anyway.

Funny, at least on the more economical pans, 5qts is all they make for the BBC? That's the same size as the SBC "high capacity" pans. Unless they require a new pickup, as previously mentioned, all the capacity will be forward of the sump unless they have a kickout. Not a big deal, more capacity is more capacity. No fancy trap doors on the more economical pans.

These are their listed 454 pans.
