Deals are definitely out there..especially if it's just iron to the seller. I just picked up an '85 K30 over the weekend from a guy who used it as a plow truck for his lot. He left salted sand on it for two years and when it rained it ran right down between the cab and bed..when he lifted the plow last season the frame snapped in half. I had been eyeing it up for a while and stopped in inquiring if he wanted to sell the vehicle and to my suprise he said you get it outta here by tonight and it's yours the town is all over me because I have 2 unregistered vehicles here and there is no title. The truck had 2 new GM doors, D60 SRW front w/4.11, 14bolt gov lok SRW rear, a recently rebuilt TH400, an NP205 case, a 89-91 blazer clip, and a fully functioning 8' fisher speed cast. I winched onto my trailer, dragged it to the farm, pulled the doors, visor, rad support and flipped it over with a forklift...flame wrenched the diffs, transmission out, and plow frame off. Took about 8hrs start to finish. Loaded the truck back on the trailer drove 20miles mon morning to the scrapyard and made $375. So i basically got a s*#!t load of parts and got paid to do it.
