Hmm, check out this $50 dollar paint job.

Interesting techniques to be sure.

For me, if I had to sand(by hand) I'd drive it off a cliff! I hate that job. In any type of quantity what so ever, I'll defer to those who do it for a living.

they make special 1500grit and up velcro type sanding discs to be used with DA (Dual Action) sanders that you can slow down and use it to wet-sand with... i've done it in shops on cars right out of the booth, paint still hot to the touch, to sand out impurities...

now on my truck, i spent $40 and bought a few cans of Engine Enamel Grabber Green, and sprayed away... looks good for now, andin the spring i'll add leaf detail again... then clear it all for protection...

I have a little over 50 in this paint job. It's TSC tractor paint.

I don't remember the exact name but it was rustoleum exterior paint from Home Depot, there's like 8 different colors they carry on their shelves. I think the red was called "sunrise red" and the grey was "smoke grey"

ok im gonna stop by there tomorrow, for 50$ i might go ahead and paint my truck! thats not bad at all

You are welcome!
I read the thread in detail, and made notes. The Tremecled mentioned is not available here, so I used rustoleum, but a lot of people have swapped over to the Boat paint with good results now.
