Is this a good welder for doing floor panels and whatnot? I know it changed to the Hobart 140 later on. Any opinions and help will be greatly appreciated.
I found one that is hardly ever used that comes with gloves, cart, auto darkening helmet, grinder, and a bunch of other extras for $300 firm. I e-mailed the guy and just waiting for a response. It looks like a damn good deal.
I'm learning to weld with my 125. It works pretty well. I've had a bit of trouble burning through thin metal. I can't seem to adjust it quite right, It may well be more me than the welder.
It has worked real well welding up exhaust, and some other thicker stuff...I think I paid 300 for mine a few months ago. with a cart and new spool of wire.
I'm still trying to buy this Hobart 125....... trouble getting our schedules lined up. What can you guys tell me about the Hobart 125? I see it only does flux core with no gas unless you buy the conversion kit which is like another $100 so maybe I'll keep looking since I hear the flux core doesn't lay down as well and might be harder to learn from???
