holley sucks! get a better carb dont mess with it. make sure your timings right, proper thermostat (so it doesnt run too hot) proper plug wires and all your grounds are good

did you even read the thread? he has a complete fuel injection system.

Yes I read the thread -my mind was thinking EFI and my hands wrote Carb...my mistake... More than a few people I know have had many many problems and headache with anything holley makes....

Older holly systems are famous for leaking injectors. I had an old projection system. I could always tell when I had a leaky injector. It would be hard to start when warm. Run your truck till warmed up. Then turn it off. Pull the air cleaner and look to see if the injectors are leaking fuel.

well...thanks for all the information guys, but the problem never got resolved so i sold the EFI on ebay and pulled the stroker out, im in the middle of putting a cummins in it...anyone have any experience with cummins' in the rocks or interested in a vortec roller 383 lemme know...thanks again!!
