1969 chevrolet Camaro with 6.0 LY6, not sure what the LY6 means. Ls swap from a 2008 chevy silverado, transmission is a 4l60E all I know about it is that it is the first year for the 4l60E. This is my BIL's vehicle and went through a couple shops and now we are trying to work out some bugs to ensure it is reliable and ready to be sold.

The intake says Holley Sniper EFI. The screen that you use to make adjustments says Terminator X.

On the few test drives we have done after 20 to 30 minutes of highway driving it feels like it wants to slip in overdrive like you shifted into neutral. We are curious if it is a torque converter lock up issue?

In the little bit of research I have done so far on holley's site I have found that you can't adjust the transmission through the controller unless you have the Holley Terminator X Max. Honestly I haven't fired up the screen to mess with settings yet. Trying to learn a bit beforehand so I don't mess anything up.

Car runs very well, shifts and performs well. Until the Trans warms up. We are also working with some alignment issues of the pulleys on the front of the engine. Aftermarket brackets, vintage air ac compressor.

I will attach some pics so you know a little more about it. Ford 9 inch rear, front and rear suspension mods. We also need to rework exhaust as the huge muffler is hitting shocks and pipes.

The early 4l60e had a problem with the PWM controlling the tc lockup.
I am in the process of dealing with that on my 97 Jimmy.
The valve that they used has no orings and when the fluid warms up and gets thin, it bleeds by very quickly.
I don't know if this is your problem but it is a problem with this transmission

Sniper is just the model of intake. It's part of their Sniper EFI series.

There should be an SD card in a slot on the top left. You can go into the settings in the screen and download the current file to the SD card so it's saved as a back up and then start messing with the controls. You can also plug the SD card into a laptop and open it with the Holley Terminator software and make adjustments there.

Mine wasn't bad for the 4l80e. Did need to tweak the 1-2 and lock up functions but nothing major.

Ok update, this is the holley terminator X Max. Found the unit above the glove box.

Now we are looking for a newer year, rebuilt 4l60E, and someone to R & R it in the Denver area.

So open to suggestions of reputable sources for the Trans and shop to put it in.

Thanks!!!

If you can post the tune, we can probably fix it that way... I don't think it's the trans itself.

Will need to verify the gear ratio in the rear end and tire size.

If both are from 2008, maybe it's a 6L80? It was phased in around '07 for upscale SUVs, but supposedly not in regular trucks until '09. If the transmission is for sure 1st year 4L60-E, that would be early 90's. I assume you know how many shifts it has!
