If both are from 2008, maybe it's a 6L80? It was phased in around '07 for upscale SUVs, but supposedly not in regular trucks until '09. If the transmission is for sure 1st year 4L60-E, that would be early 90's. I assume you know how many shifts it has!

I have a 2007 GMC Sierra Crew cab Denali with 6.2 and the 6L80E ,so definitely available in the trucks.

The Denali line definitely got some of the options earlier than the standard trucks.
