I still haven't figured out the dually yet. If I get it figured out then I'm in.

By the way. No codes, cat isn't plugged, O2 sensor working fine and temp sender working fine. Any clues?

Well the base timing is at 4 deg. and that's just where it should be. The scanner is showing that it's going back and forth between rich and lean just like it's supposed to. Something must be intermittently causing it. Maybe an intermitent O2 sensor?

But there is only a couple of things that would cause your exhaust to glow. Computer must be screwing up....Dan

Chaz,

Yes you can change the base timing. You disconnect the computer lead to distributor and wahla you can set the timing.

The computer could be wigging out, the O2 sensor or even a bad connection somewhere could be the problem.
