Home frame straightening?

Which cost 500 dollars and that is a 1/3 of the cost of another truck with a straight frame

Your point? Its the only correct way to do it...Youve been told already your not going to get band aid fixes here, its to irresponsible of us to tell you to do something that could injure you or someone else cause your being cheap:rolleyes:

It's not really putting anyone in danger because it's not driven on the street. It doesn't even have a tag or insurance right now. I think a band-aid fix is fine for something strictly offroad. I can't really see me injuring anyone out there and I'm not going to loose control on a big hill or anything. Hills don't exist here.

Is it possible to tug on one frame rail to straighten it?

As in, tie one side to a tree and get a little speed

Please don't try this idea. It was posted as a WTF idea. This can cause serious damage to the truck and you or anyone else that is standing around watching the telethon.

There are specific methods and techniques to straighten a frame that make it safe and reliable. The 1/3 cost of the truck, your right, that's some cash. You could always look for a truck that is being parted out and take the frame. That is a LOT of work, but it will be safe.

Don't take short cuts. Either pony up and have it done right or start with a new truck.

dude,Spend some money and do it right,or dont do anything at all.
Even though your not going to listen to anyone on this site.
Your going to probaly do it your way and mess up your truck.if it drives fine dont worry about it espicaly if its a stricly offroad truck as you said.

Since you dont want to fix it, I would suggest going to a junk yard and picking up a good frame for cheap, you could pb get one for $100 if you look around, or find somebody on here or pirate parting out there truck. Like it was mentioned, its alot of work, but can be reliable and safe.

This is my final attempt to fix it

Just post your veiws

I'll try to not individually adress each comment :wink1:

Before you get going I know I need fake beadlocks, a PVC roll cage, and fake mud.

Sounds like a GREAT idea, I worked in a body and frame shop for years...
At all the places I've worked at had big tree's in the back yard..
We'd do all our frame work with a 3 ton comalong and some dog chain.

I'd have at it!!!:haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :p:

Listen No0b!

You need to learn a few things,

1.- You need to shut up and listen.
2.- I would wheel around you if you broke on the trail.
3.- You still need a tag to wheel off road.
4.- You can hurt plenty of people on the trail by telling them your rig is safe instead of--- Get out the way my POS might kill us all!!

Tie it to a tree with a small rope. Point the truck toward a cliff. Accelerate hard. Try not being an asshat the first 50 times people try to give you constructive advice.
