home made snorkel setups how do you run yours?

I have an exhaust leak where the manifold connects to the exhaust tube. My trans tunnel is also a piece of rubber. So my vehicle may not be the best to get a video of lol

Ya i see alot of people run it in the cab but my ac still blows cold and i dont want to
give it up

I seem to remember Steve saying it was actually quite loud on his in the cab..

I don't think its all that bad. But then again I'm only trail riding in the thing. Cruising down the highway might be a different story

I don't remember him saying it was unbearable, but that it definitely was surprisingly noticeable... guess it's one of those things you kinda expect to be silent....

Is a nice pre-made solution.

That's more of a cold-air intake, though, if the intake is at fender level IMO. I did mine with factory parts from the junkyard:

and the plastic duct goes up front to the core support. In my case as my truck is way old I used a piece of PVC for rain gutters, from 4" round, I think, to 2x3 rectangular.

Newer trucks have a knockout in the core support already so it'd be easier to do.

When I think "snorkel" I think of Lawrence's Dante Peak build with the PVC from the fender up the A pillar to the roofline.

mine already has the fender opening but when you drive threw a big water/mud puddle it will suck it up into the intake and hydro lock the motor.I would love one of those snorkel's like the Dante peak build just cant afford it yet.

I wanted to run it to the passenger side fender for that snorkel setup in the future.
plus when you drive threw the water or mud it wont suck it in the motor.
