I've done a search and i think i'm ready to do this. What rams and hoses and where do you get them at? I was thinking a 1.5x8 or a 2x8 ram. Also what kind of ends do i need on the ram, i would just like to put the ram where my steering stab. is. My goal is $250 or less Thanks

? With the mounting, what do i need to use so i don't need to cut anything?

It seems like most rams will work, just bolt it in where the steering stabilizer goes.

You can't bolt it in where the steering stabilizer went. You will need to cut the tab off of the axle and replace it with some new tabs.

Any recomendations on doing this, and placement of new one, i have heard to put it on the cover of the dana 60?

dose anyone have any pictures? even measurements would be nice

Mine isn't mounted to the cover. The stock steering stabilizer bracket (axle side) is not close enough to the cover and is only in single shear. I bought some tabs that looked like this, made sure the ram was in the middle of its travel, and tacked them in. http://diy4x.com/images/00281%20racer%20tab.jpg

Make sure that yours tabs aren't too long or too short so that everything clears.

Mine is mounted to the cover and pics are in the link I posted. My cover is not stock and is made from 3/8" plate so keep that in mind:D.
