alright so i`ve decide that i`m not gonna get or have the money for a reall cowl hood so i am just gonna try using a hood scoop so can u guys post pics of your hood scoops....they dont have to be cowl ones

Why do you want a Cowlhood/hoodscoop??? is your current aircleaner not clearing your hood ?? or is it for the "Cold Air"

mostly for looks....but the cold air would be good.....my hood looks like crap so what should i do with it....paint some flames on it?or bondo a hoodscoop on it and maybe make it functional unless if i can find a cheap hood if u can point me in the right direction

I'd fix it . back to stock it would be good practice for further body repairs

Dont put thos cheasy plastic scoops on it. I laugh everytime i see one on trucks. If you look closely you can see that gap betwen the body, they only look good from a distance.

you mean "they dont even look good from a distance"

Or you could make one. Yes, this is the thread I've been waiting for... here's my pics. Some of yo have probably already seen it. It's bolted on. I wouldn't recommend bondoing anything onto the hood of a truck, it will crack when you shut it. And YES it's funcutional. Not too practical though, took a little bit of practice to learn how to drive with it on there. But I got it down good now. I've actually been contemplating remaking it into a cowl style scoop which would make it about 3 inches shorter. It's only 8 inches tall ( I know it looks taller).
Edit: It looks a little better with the top on.

i agree i think that it would look odd.....i have a bunch of other stuff to do before a hood so i think i`ll just keep checkin around for a cowl hood in the WantAds or something similar local.....dirtyjim hows your truck goin?
