How big of a tire can a D60 handle?

As many have stated, a lot will depend on your driving style (as you well know). I ran 35s aggressively with 300HP on 10-bolts and never broke. I am now running 42s with 430HP+ on a D60 with 30 spline outers and I have yet to break! Of course, I have only had it offroad ONCE so far!

I figure that when I break a stub, I will go to the 35 splines. I believe that a smart driver in most conditions can amke 42s last a long time on 35 spline D60 without issues. But for me, only time will tell.

I broke BOTH 30 spline stub shafts Saturday, and have broken both of them at different times before. I run 44 boggers and have a heavy right foot, I think that had a lot more to do with it than anything. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
Yes, I want to go to 35 spline stubs, BUT I will have to have new hubs or have someone machine 35 spline external drive flanges and I just haven't looked around for anybody to do it yet.
