How can i find correct wheels for my 78?

You can get 16xwhatever you like from Wheel Vintiques.

16X8 8 lug factory looking wheels are about $106.00
I read that Summit sells them too.

Check it out guys!

Sorry got no links.

The wheels with the hub caps are not Rallys or wagon wheels. They are just base model wheels. They are 15"x7" I believe. M1009 CUCV Blazers got the same wheels, but they are 8" wide. The 6 lug half ton wheels use a smaller hubcap with 5 chrome "spokes". The 3/4 and one tons use a larger, interchangeable hub cap with 6 chrome "spokes".

This is a picture of a 3/4 (or one ton) cap on the left, and a half ton cap on the right.

I have owned several sets of GM 16'5 stock steel wheels. I have yet to see one wider than 7". I have owned 16.5"x6", 16.5"x6.5". 16.5"x6.75", and 16.5"x7". The 7" wide ones are rare.

GM also offered the exact same wheels in 16" diameter. They are the same wheel. The hub caps are interchangeable. That being said, the hub caps are interchangeable between Ford, Dodge, and Chevy wheels of that era.

I guess there is a slight difference between K20 and K30 front hub caps. The K30's have a bigger hole, with a chrome cone protruding from them for the larger Dana 60 hub. I can get pictures of that if there is interest.

Don't know if these will work, Mitch, but I have these off of an early 90s burn. No hub caps tho...

Nice! I would love to have a set for my Duramax...I think it would look sweet without any caps. But I don`t know if the 4 inch backspaceing would work out for it.:dunno:

I don`t think 106.00 is too bad of a price for those...were else are you going to find 16x8s like that.
And I think you can get them in a 10 aswell. :woot:

If I ever get a blazer...thats what I would do 16x10 with hub caps!:thumb::thumb:

My goal here is to rock the wheels you have, powdered white, and run stock GMC hub caps, with 265/75r16 bfg mud terrains! I think that would be bad ass. Original looking but with modern tires.

That will look awesome but Id run 285's if it was me, I had 285's on my 82 3/4ton stock, no lift, and stock gm wheels...

Man Id love to have a set of them wheels in the 16x10's, would look awesome with the factory GMC hub caps....
