how can i get more power from my 454?

They fixed the pulley, I picked it up Friday and drove it about 20 miles it felt amazing. It drives amazing! I'm thrilled. I had to park it because I went out of town but I plan on putting some miles on it next week

I finally figured out how to create an album and post pics! i uploaded a bunch of stuff today on my profile media section :)

Update:
It has been a little while since I got it back and so far it drives and feels amazing. I'm really happy with the power it's putting down! However, I still think I need to look into gearing.

Now that my jimmy is up and running how it should and i no longer hate the truck I put it in for GMOTM

Just an update for no reason other than its time. So far it hasn't died, I passed the 500 mile mark on the engine and transmission. I am happy to say that shake was absolutely the TC and it had been resolved! This thing is a beast and so much fun to drive. I feel like I have engine for days. I still eventually want to look at gearing but for now I am happy with how it's running. I dropped it off today at my friend's shop ( the shop that did the last install ) He is giving it a 500 mile check up and fixing a few small leaks ( passenger side valve cover, and a small trans leak I can't find) hopefully all goes well and there are no issues :)

LOL well now i'm having a wiring issue,( keep in mind this truck was rewired by the chevy dealership with a painless wiring kit less than 8 years ago) something smokes behind the dash when my headlights are on. should be an easy fix just one more thing... this pig does not want to be driven, it wants to sit the rest of its life.

Too late, I got a solid lifter cam.
My experience was awful and probably not typical, if everything is adjusted correctly and you follow proper break in you should be fine. after all the crap on this build i think i will always opt for the roller setup. but to be honest if i ever build another engine it will likely be an LS so it will have the rollers in it.

Well we discovered what the issue was with the smoking behind the dash when the headlights are on. it was the dimmer switch, well rather the plug was worn out and was smoking. it has been fixed and in theory i can enjoy my truck now ;) ;)
