My old faithful 1987 3/4t Suburban needs to have a lift.

I use it more and more on fast fire roads, and want to fit 35's.

From what I can find out this truck has very available to lift the front... I want it "Nose high" kinda Prerunner style. Rear is easy... but the front?

Not so keen on a bodylift, but anyone done this?

I think your best bet will be a body lift. 3" BL with 35s will be real tight though. Might have to change the coils and add the BL. Just put a straight axle under it then it will be easy to lift.:D

Fabtech used to sell a kit.

Maybe look into custom A arms, or building a frame to drop the a arms.

Probably wouldn't be too tough to swap a 2wd suspension from a 90's truck and then use one of those lifts.

Seems to me I've seen 2wd lift kits that consisted of longer coil springs and upper bal joint spacers before??..probably only get 2" of lift though, and might be an alignment mans nightmare --

I was looking at my '81 G-10 van that has a very similar if not identical suspention as a c-10 would,I think it might be possible to make custom "drop down" brackets where the a-frames and crossmember bolt to the frame to jack the front end up more, since all the steering components except the box are all mounted to the crossmember, you'd need a custom center link to attach the box to it to make up for that..but everything else would remain "stock",just mounted farther away from the frame..
