Ever lifted chevy truck i've seen recently has a stock steering arm and their steering is fine.

I put the raised steering arm that came with my 4" RC lift kit on my truck when i lifted it and i have tons of steering to the left and barely any to the right. I really need to get it fixed but I have no idea what's causing it...Should I put a stock steering arm back on it? :doah:

You need to adjust the drag link. You need to make sure that the drag link is close to horizontal with the ground or slightly downward at the axle end. You just simply need to turn the steering wheel full lock one way then full lock the other way and count the turns then split the difference and then adjust the drag link accordingly to make the tires point straight ahead.

So can someone put this in n00b instructions for me please.

What do I need to remove to do this etc.?

Take the drag link off of the pitman arm then turn the steering wheel to where it points straight (1/2 distance from full lock left to full lock right as stated above). Then adjust the drag link until it slides into the hole on the pitman arm, and bolt it back on. Hope that makes sense and good luck

Awesome man, thanks. That sounds pretty simple.

When you get it done let us know how it rides. I am fixing to install my R.C. 4" lift too.

I've been running it with the crappy steering for a year now :haha:

For the money, you can't beat an RC lift. If i had a shackle flip instead of blocks and 10 pack leaves out back, it'd ride pretty well.

No you damn sure cant beat there price! So Im gald to hear you like it.
I just wish I could have afforded rear springs too.

Rough country rides terrible but is cheap. I use to run a 6'' RC lift. I have since gone to a 6'' TC lift with shackle flip in the rear, MUCH better!!!! My only regret....i have to run smaller tires because i rub so much with the softer suspension.

So i don't need to touch anything on the steering pump? Just disconnect my steering arm from the draglink and adjust?

thx guys.
