How could this happen?

I noticed this the today while under the truck. What could be causing the overspray on the exhaust pipes? I have not seen any leaks on the driveway (at least not from that part of the truck). Could the u-joint have crapped out?

Looks like the seal on the rear output (tailshaft)

it might just be leaking a little when your moving (the shaft is spinning) so it doesnt happen when its still.

could also be extra grease from when you lube the ujoint.looks like there is grease spots on the bottom of the floor.

thats also what i was thinking. Tommorrow i'll change out that u-joint just to be safe

Its just fluid from the output on the trans. I wouldnt worry about it, its not something thats in dire need of replacement...
