How many times have you had to explain to someone that the roof is just bolted on, and that you didn't have to cut anything to remove it? At least once every two weeks in the summer I have to explain it to someone. Last summer we got pulled over by a cop in Lincoln and he tried to tell me it was illegal for us to be riding in the back seat.

:haha::haha::haha:

I love the reaction from people when I say im gonna take the top off the blazer and they go.... What do you mean top.... :dunno:, then I tell them and they :eek1:

People seem to think my truck is a blazer

I had a buddy with a scout II, not really a common truck around these parts really. He popped the top off it. Cop pulled him over and lost it on him b/c he cut the roof off and what not.

Some People these days :rolleyes:

Oh man I want somebody to pull me over now :haha:

Ill be like suck it :flipoff7:

I've had several people stare in amazement, asking "How did you do this? This is slick work." or even better - "When did you get this truck?". As though I bought an utra-short-box pickup and painted it exactly like my K5, put on the same wheels, bumper, etc.

Then there are those who shake their head telling you the top should never be removed, that it will never seal again and GM put hidden bolts in for a reason. I just respond by saying "Oh no! You opened the door on your car! How will you ever get it to seal again?"

Lots of guys thought I was some type of body guy cruising around in my 73 most don't know about the second gen full verts. So they thought I made the whole top come off.

Now I might need to take the top off of my '90 Jimmy so I can see what happens...!!!! Especially if I tell the "I took the top off my Jimmy" I know that's bad but I had to say it!

Mine has rear shoulder belts, do you guys have any suggestions what i should do with the top off? (for seat belts)
