Working on that.............. Damn I just started back at work not so long ago. Still don't have all the mobility back in my wrist.
But no on the bender (yet) I got a welder that will handle 1/4" and would be just fine for bumpers cages and what not.
I Learned to weld on my dad's farm. With a cutting torch & bailing wire.
Dad said if you can weld with that, you can just about weld with anything.
Dad was right, I can mig, tig & stick weld. Course having 20plus years of experience does help!!
Took a class in high school, Oxy/Act torch then stick. I did pretty well. Then I bought a mig and found it was a lot like torch. Then I did some mig welding on stainless steel duct work for the company I use to work for. Which came out better than the fab shop welds. Practis is every thing and the only way to get better. When I get home I'm going to school, I want to learn tig. Mabe even get certifide. Wont be long befor I'm out of this hole! State side here I come!!
