Did Chevy ever put these two together? If so where can I get an adapter or what ever I need. The 205 is from my wrecked truck so it was with a TH400, and my new truck has a 700R4 bolted to a np208. I just need to know how I can put the 205 and the 700R4 together? I want the strength of the 205 but I want the overdrive also. Is this possible? Oh by the way the 205 is out of a 80 K20 and the 700R4 is out of a 84 K20 Thanks Thanks -80K20

Do a search, it's been covered many, many times. But, basically you need a short output shaft for the 700R4 and a 205 with a 27 spline input that came behind a TH350. Or you can run a spacer for the 700R4, but you still need a TH350 version 205.

I have an adapter for 700/205 but I am in Europe...

Anyway the adapter is from a 4wd van, do not know witch year, I bought the adapter/tc combo from a scrapyard. It uses a f@rd 205 with lefthand frontoutput and it says Quigley or something like that. Made of aluminium and made for the long output 700.
