How do I change the ball joints in my 14 bolt?

Long time no see...:D

Me thinks you need a second opinion. Somehow Abdul doesn't instill confidence.

Wow !! You came back to life..

Just passing through again?

Just sticking my head in to say hi! Sold my 88 R20 454 burb a few weeks ago so no more gm trucks for a while. Will get v20 burb at some point again.

Well shoot, If you have a custom steerable axle with a 14 bolt center and balljoint outers and don't know how to change them, take it to someone that does. And you are dumb for not using older pivot bushing/bearing 60 style knuckles.
:haha:

Nice to see you pop in again Eric!!

Still have the Toaster project?

Rene:

Yep still have it. Back burner right now. To much other stuff going on and decided I wanted to be debt free in 5 Years. 2.5 years to go. Then I will have an extra $750 a month for projects.

So how is things on your end of the world?

It's just like changing the knuckles on a 12-bolt.

Fairly easy, once you've done a few -- and there's about as many front 12-bolts as 14's.

IIRC, 14 bolt ball joints are on nationwide back order along with Corvair water pumps and Cummins spark plugs.

Staying busy keeping the wolves from the door. Got rid of my 81 Jimmy a while back. Started on a Crew Cab project, then stopped. Bought a '90 Blazer a couple of months ago...

Same old sh!t really. :p:
