How do I remove 91 Jimmy Hard Top?

Just got a '91 Jimmy, before I start tearing things apart though I'd ask the experts the easiest way to detach the rear seatbelts to take the hard top off. I owned a bunch of 76-79's, never had to worry about seatbelts in those.

Semi-related question: Where is the best source for new seals for the top? If it's like all of my other K5's, it will leak when I put the top back on as I doubt the top has ever been removed on this truck.

You unbolt the shoulder belts at the wheel well, then remove all the bolts along the the rails and header, don't forget the two you get from under the rails in the rear corners. Get a friend or two to help lift. For the seals LMC has them.

So Friday I decieded to take a little trip to my local Chevy dealer. I thought I would see what seals were still available for the cab and topper on my Blazer. Here is a report on my little field trip. The numbers and first price is OEM the last price is LMC Truck. I ordered mine and most will be here Monday the rest will be here Wednesday. Also got better pics of the tail gate and door parts.

x2 I've been taking mine on and off for 8 years now and no leaks.

like stated above, don't forget the two bolts INSIDE the paneling near the tailgate...and if your garage is the right height, like mine is, u can just back up to it and slide it off by yourself...as far as the seatbelts go, i jus unbolted em from the top n left em n tha truck...

x2, I could not get the bolts for the seat belts out of the floor so undid them from the top and left in the truck

I cut the shoulder belts off and turned them into lap belts so I didnt have to mess with them every time I wanted the top off.
And I never had any leaky seal issues.
