How do you guys install your Art Carr shifters.

iirc, with their base, the cable comes out the back/bottom of the plastic... external of the box.. the armrest is probably in the way visually... I'm guessing it can still used, tho a bit awkwardly probably...

Pictures taken without the flash on, my new LEDs are bright

Comes apart nicely actually, I wasn't expecting it to be that easy

My only complaint is that it flexes ever so slightly, but now That I think of it it's probably party due to the plastic housing. It not bad at all really, I can definitely live with it.

Anyway, I finally rediscover this thread. Might as well up-date how I did my shifter mount even though it a has been a few years.

I'm getting ready to install mine, but somebody told to mount it high so I could reach it quickly while racing.
Hopefully NVRENUF will post a pic up of when we were racing his truck - he mounted it up high and sturdy so all we had to do was slap the handle back ( reverse pattern ) so we could keep two hands on the wheel as much as possible.
It worked great !

I made a little platform for mine so i can still use the plastic housing. The cool thing is that it has allowed me to adjust where the shifter is located. I've moved it forward and closer to the seat since this pic:

I found a cheap console at Walmart I will use with the shifter. I don't have it mounted yet.
I ended up mounting mine to a Tuffy console.
