how do you setup a poll?

When you start a thread, look at the bottom of the page for additional options. Its at the bottom of that box labeled "Post a poll with this thread". Check the box and submit the thread. You'll get a screen to take you to your post. When you open that, you'll see all your poll options (the ballot titles, how many days to allow polling, etc).
