How far have you actually gone before filling up?

In my 76 Blazer, I was pulling a huge hill and it started sputtering, I was two miles from a station. I coasted up hill the rest of the way in neutral and topped it at less than 20 MPH, I rolled down hill and over another smaller hill on the way down even passing other cars so I could avoid braking and keep up the momentum.

I coasted to a stop right at the pump, still no brakes required. people were watching me cuz there was silence as i rode into the gas station.

Im a pansy I rarely let it get below 1/2

Most for me was 260 miles on 14 gallons... out of my Ranger with a 16 gallon tank..

As far as the Blazer goes.. no clue, fuel gauge and odometer are both broken. Though over the summer I drove to and from work for a couple weeks, plus two or three trips to town.. thinking I put 15 gallons in it and roughed it out to somewhere between 170 miles and 200 miles

I've gone over 700 miles on less that 5 gallons. Of course that was my trailer queen. Ran 6.5 hours, broke after the first day, ran another 6.5 hours. :haha:

422 mile range from the wife's minivan on average. Fill up and drive about 20 miles, pass a small gas station and hardly give it a thought. 427 miles of desert later I pulled into a gas station. The last 5 miles the overhead trip computer gadget said "0". OH, and let's not forget the vapor lock in the middle of the desert. Sat there for an hour waiting for things to cool down till we could take off again. Not one car drove by.:eek1: I was waiting for Buzzards to circle.
