My '88 K5 curb weight is listed as 4.676 pounds. Was thinking of purchasing a travel trailer to pull from Ohio to Florida. Is this altogether a bad idea or can it be safely done and, if so, what would be the weight limit of the travel trailer to buy?
Also, would length play a roll in hauling ability?
Totally new to the idea just looking to see if advisable or not.
Thanks for your help.

ETA: The trailer I'm looking at online is 24" @4225# and anticipate getting hitch with stabilizers and a traction bar.

I have a 17 footer with a slideout, tows like a dream with a trailer brake controller. Curb on it is 3700 dry, with 520 on the hitch. Overall length is 21 and a half.

Great! Thanks for the information. That's about the size I think would work well for me. I really appreciate the reply!

Weight distribution hitch with anti sway. Correct size weight bars for your trailer. Quality brake controler.

Also, if tour truck wonders when driving it, figure our why. It will be exaggerated with a trailer.

Thank God my doesn't get the time to wonder.
It's always busy working but I did have a jeep that used to wander, it was the soft springs
