how many is to many

No such thing as to many!!! I wish I had as many as Mountain Explorer,

Check my sig, those are my running ,driving or in progress project GM's at the moment. I dont really know how many rigs I have total

two is too many haa then Im in trouble, I have downsized mine a bit but still have nine, will probably get down to seven here in a bit, maybe just eight. Cant figure out what to do with my 2wd Blazer.

post it forsale on 67-72 chevy truck, those guys go crazy over a 2wd blazer. idk why i mean i guess they would be fun as a hot rod but a shortbed truck would be better i think.

I have had up to 6 vehicles at the same time, but I only had 4 of them registered at one time--that was back in my 20's and 30's when I lived at my parents house that then had 4 acres of property and hiding a few unregistered vehicles wasn't too difficult...but here your supposed to be limited to ONE unregistered vehicle per yard, and I am still in posession of two, thankfully no one has complained and the town code enforcement dicks haven't knocked on my door yet...(subject to change any day though, they are out looking for revenue and many guys I know have been told to "use them or lose them" or face a hefty fine..

I think when your young and single is the time to do what you please with cars and trucks, because once your married or end up renting an apartment ,you cant have all these "toys" any more...as you get older and your body revolts against you when you try wrenching like you could before, you lose interest in doing it,and if your spouse is always whining about the "mess" and expense your putting into old vehicles, your marriage could be in jeapordy..(one reason I nevrer GOT married!)...

I currently have two of my four vehicles registered and insured, that costs me 700+ bucks just for compulsory insurance, which is far too much for a guy who's vehicles often sit in the yard all month and rarely get driven...I have the '95 Ford Contour and my '82 K2500 GMC registered, but I do miss my full sized G-10 van a lot when its summer and I want to go somewhere far away and camp out with it..unfortunately there is no one vehicle that can "do it all"--I need a economical vehicle for long trips ,and a 4x4 truck to plow and get firewood with, and I'd like to have the van so if I want to carry more than 2 other people I could..unfortunately no vehicle I know of would fill all those bills,so I had one of each instead!--nowadays its just too dam expensive to keep more than 2 on the road, all their tires from going flat, batteries from going dead, and who has 80-100 bucks to fill each gas tank any more??...

How many is "too many"--depends on where you live, whether you can store them without getting cited or ticking off neighbors, and how much disposeable income you have...I got a lot of free vehicles and many for cheap when I worked in parts stores, often a customer would say "oh,its going to cost THAT much for the parts??--forget it,I am going to JUNK it and buy something else"!..if it were a GM car or truck,I jumped at it and bought them--many I drove a long time, but some I flipped for a very healthy profit in a matter of weeks, after my parents started complaining about the yard "looking like a used car lot or a junkyard"....

Yeah, are we talking parts vehicles, or just complete rigs? I would have to stop and do a count.

i have 5 that i keep running all the time and a crap ton more at a storage lot.

ya just never know what parts or cars you might need

i call them small bank accounts

I don't know how many total I have anymore. Right now I only have my wrangler and honda shadow licensed and insured.

I like to have parts trucks around.

I know what to do with it. So just tow it on up here and I will "keep" it for you. Kind of. Not really.

You know what to do with it too, how many small blocks do you have sitting around?

if you have an appropriate area to store them without being white trash i say as many as you need. Having parts vehicles will save you loads of cash and tons of money as well as time. Old chevy parts are so damn interchangeable you just cant beat it. If i decide to use my suburban for parts god knows the endless possibilitys that can be mixed and matches with my other vehicles.

I got 2 in my name and 3 others in my dads so 5 in total. We Share all our vehicles based on who has a higher priority need for one.

:haha::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha:

We are an odd group but the vast majority of the world would look at most of us with "parts trucks" or fleets of old crappy Chevy trucks and consider us white trash, even if the trucks are in a barn or something. Seriously they will.

Of course to them rednecks trailer trash, white trash, grease monkeys are all the same. To me it those terms denote key differences.

Not sure how many running small blocks I have (4?) but I have a nice running big block soon to be looking for a new home

But then what do I do with the small block powered Astro and the Nova :dunno:

if i ever win the lotto, youll see me buying a large climate controlled warehouse, setting up one corner as a shop with a lift and crap ton of tools, filling the rest of the space with cars and trucks, and building an apartment on the roof to live in :)

Thats my dream, but so far the lottery hasn't fullfilled it!...
I'm getting too old and decrepid to be doing "restorations" any more anyway.....still hoping to hit the jackpot though, there may be limits as to how many vehicles are "too many"--but you can never have too much MONEY...
