I can't remember if this has been asked before... so if it has, forgive me. But I was wondering how many of you out there have Suburbans with SM465s (or manual trannys of some form)? And if you do, was it factory, or a conversion?

Also, how many Suburbans do we have on here with Dana 60 fronts?

Mine is an '81... used to have a 350, TH400/NP208, 10 Bolt/14 Bolt SF, and 9.50R16.5 tires. Now... 5 years later, it has a 454, SM465/205, Dana 60/14 Bolt FF, and is on 35's.

How did yours start out and where are you now?

Same in 1975 as in 2003 /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Same shitty diff ratio also /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

my parts burb was abone stock 78 3/4 ton with 305 sm465 with 3.73's.
my current burb is 6.2 th400 and is getting the above axles as we speak.

Well mine started with a 350/TH350/NP203/4.10 Dana 44/12bolt.

Here is what I am now, Rebuilt 350/New TH350/Different 203. 4.10 Dana 44/3.73 14 bolt.

Working on the dana 60 right now.

Goal is 383/700r4/ORD Doubler/Dana60/14 Bolt w/5.13s

And I got the 42'' TSLs sitting here waiting for the gears and axles to be finished.

My 90 came bone stock with a tbi350,sm465,np241,10b front3.73,14sf rear 3.73. It now has a carbed 454,sm465,np241,dana60 5.13.dl,14ff 5.13.dl & 39.5 tsl.

Mine is a 1973 k20 suburban... Came stock with a 350/th350/np203. Someone swapped in a 205 at somepoint, and a high reving high horsepower engine with no lowend torque. Come mid january, it'll have a 454 between the fenders. Axles are d44 front, 14bff rear, 4.10's. Plan on replacing the broken d44 with a d60.

Mine came with 350EFI + sm465 + np241 + 10bolts
I have replaced the 1/2 ton axles with 1ton axles. /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif

I'm lucky to have the room... though someday I'd like to get rid of the "wrecking yard" look from our property, and just keep the fleet around with only a few parts rigs instead of a field full.

Try the brochures at http://brochures.slosh.com/

I see 4-spd manual trans availability in the Burb up to 89 (Aug 88). Looks like with 305/350/400/454 for 73-78 and 305/350 only for 79-89.

As rare as they are, the only 4-spd Burbs I've seen are 70's 4wd versions... all with smallblocks.
