I am a member of a local club named the UFO's (Unlimited Fun Off roaders). Most of us are military and really only have about 6 active members. We wheel with all of the bigger clubs here in Vegas and know most of the other club members by first name. The great thing about our club is that we don't have meetings. We post up runs on our website and we go.

Being in a club has changed my wheeling in a lot of ways. Lots of good people to help you with trail carnage, vehicle mods during your downtime, and a good way to find new trails and test the limits of my rig.

POORBOYS OFFROAD. 6 members so far not counting all the wives kids ect. family fun! anyone in our area wanting to wheel e-mail or pm. we have trail runs from mild to wild and try to go every other weekend. see you at the Moyie Mud Bog maybe? springs coming!!!!:D

I just wheel with a bunch of guys from the shop here. We started talking about making a club, paying dues, electing officers, and advertising with flyers around the base and around town, then it kind of went to hell after some arguments. Now there's two guys who won't talk to each other, and I'm kind of stuck in the middle because one of them is my best friend and I'm still friends with the other one.

PS So I voted that I don't like clubs, too much politics. :D

I'm the VP of Freedom TrailRiders. Club of 30 members and growing, based in the RI and Southeast MA area.

We're members of the North East Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs (www.nea4wd.org) which is a member of United as well.

We only have one meeting a year and that's for elections. Most other business is handled on-line in our forum. Not all organized clubs have to have internal politics. I call them all some of my best friends. We are however active in local and statewide politics.

Here in New England you really have no choice but join a club and one that is in the North East Association of 4WD Clubs. We have no public land to use and all private trails need landowner written permission in your possesion or you are criminally trespassing. Wether you like the polotics or not you have to deal.

I am the VP of NEWJO here. We have little political issues during the season. Most of our "issues" come up around now when wheeling is ending and elections and bylaws changes happen at our annual meeting. As long as I don't get to mad now and quit than I will have another fun year ahead :D

I am a member of Rochester Rough Riders out of Rochester Minnesota. We have just over 100 Members in southeast Mn.
I hope to have a club site up and running soon,I'll post the link when it's up.

Sorry to hear that, I guess living in the desert has it's advantages, 90% public land.
