put LED's in your dash? Pics of how you did it would be awesome!

well I guess I might as well try to redeem your thread for yah.

I remember seeing a website a while ago that sold led's that were the same socket type and size of several found on the old chevies like the tail lights/turn signals/ and dash lighting. I will try to find it. Found it...http://www.superbrightleds.com/1157.htm...I looked on their site, and they now have resistors and flashers made for LEDs.

LED's not exactly the best idea for the dash IMHO since they don't spread light in the same fashion as a normal bulb... I think painting the gauge backing would do much more

If you rough up the top of an led bulb with some sandpaper, I have heard it distributes the light better.

you can buy LED's with different projection angles in the link above. I was just wondering how people mounted them and what not.

i put one led in front of each gauge (that i use) just to get by, because i couldn't see a dang thing with the stock backlit setup. the leds are mostly out of view and cast decent light, but i wouldn't put them on a show truck :haha:. they might get you a hearty "wtf?" from the judges, but i didn't do it for that, it's purely for function.
