So had a budget of $1000.00 spent $1147.38. that includes a lot of $ spent to get ready to go. Need to get the tow rig done so I'm not paying for gas for 2 vehicles for the drive there and around. Or just not bring the kids, but what fun would that be.

I didn't go this yr. But I am am going next yr. This hopefully will he a great informative thread. I'm planning on $1500 on gas alone. I am curious as to what others spent. I say the average will be about $1750 total.

Adding up the big expenses and rounding in some of the miscellaneous expenses I'd say we were right at a grand. We travel about five hundred miles each way with a tow rig and stay in a cabin.

I came in right around $2600 driving 1600 miles each way, buying new driveshafts, a new diff cover and food / accommodations

Drive 215 miles door to door, ate McDs. breakfast burritos for several meals, only ate out once besides the BBQ, Slept on the ground no cabin, no tent, no cost. About $350. Thursday night to Sunday afternoon.

Booze was the second largest expense besides tow rig fuel. Just as it should be:woot:

I spent around $2000, and I am only 130 miles away from Moab, thats what happens when you bring your wife and kids and try to keep them happy.

I dont even want to talk about the money to get my k5 ready.

My new k5 ran great with no problems, ORD doubler is worth every penny. DIY4X's doors are sweet I did find a few things that I need to change. First is bigger tires, 38's dont cut it for me, Stock bumper and tow package are no good, they hang on everything, and carpet with no top and rain suck, I need some kind of easy on off top, And a winch just in case the bigger tires dont cut it.

$1,950.00 total

about $1050.00-$1150.00 fuel for tow rig :doah: 454's are thirsty!
$100.00 new battery for tow rig
$200.00 for camping
$250.00 fuel, repairs, and a bunch of fuel filters for blazer
$250.00 food,snacks,beer,soda,and ice

I had a budget of $2500

$250.00 food,snacks,beer,soda,and ice

I had a budget of $2500

see now that is why i couldnt go... $250 wouldnt get me far on beer.. then you throw food, snacks, soda and ice into that... pfffftttt.... also food, snacks and soda fall under the dont need while i got beer category... i drink dark beer so can throw ice out too

I could so do it for about $300 with no hotel, no fueling three rigs, and only feeding me.

So all you single people save your pennies :thumb:

Right at a grand.:doah: Wife can not wait for next year. 2 weeks in Moab.:woot: Will have the new tow rig so the house and Jimmy will both go.

I never spend over $200-300. About $150 for diesel, $50 fuel for the blaze, the rest is food at the Moab brewery and beer. It really helps to have friends that live in Moab with spare bedrooms.

I had about 2000 in fuel cost alone...including the Maiden, which was taking about 3gal. hour while wheeling.
The 6.0 tow truck did great at 7.5 avg.

Around 300.00 for fuel, 40.00 for the hotel and about 200.00 in food, beer, and souvenoirs for me and the wife. Never mind the broken frame repair bill???? Have not got that bill even started

Just totalled it up and I spent just over 900.

Which was 300 over my budget, some tight times in the forthcoming weeks at the Westover household.

Already started the deductions for next year though. Should have plenty saved up
