How much does a blazer weigh

GVWR is different than GVW

GVWR is the rating that the vehicle plus its cargo can weigh.
GVW is the vehicle weight (usually dry weight)

If you check the specifications page, it claims that the 1972 (mine) weighs only 3677lbs...

Thanks, I knew it was not an actual weight. Someday I would like to weigh mine just to see were I am at. I'm sure all my bugger welds added alot of weight /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif
Arq, I'll still look to see if there is another number there..

nod, I am curious what all the added angle iron, big tires, etc... puts me up to. it doesnt feel heavy until I stomp the stupid pedal, then it feels downright pudgy...

I drove mine over a scale at my local rock yard and without my top on with me in it(160lbs.) it was 5200lbs.

with half tons and the top off i was like 4900ish.
With 1 ton's and the top on i'm about 5300ish. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Theres 2 scales over by my work... I'll go weigh my truck again in the next couple days. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I think those specs are of a K5 with a straight 6, no top, driver's seat, no driver, no fluids, etc.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think the specs page is incorrect. I looked through the assembly manual and it ranges from 3900~5800(verified it)
CKE1xxxxx that's what the '1' on the vin number states. Now i got to see how that affects my citaion i got when i got pulled into a 6001-lbs or more check point... /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

thanks again,

ARQ.

I went by the scale today. With 1 ton axles and the hard top on, my truck weighed 5200. 5380 with me in it.
